The role of innovation and discovery in crisis intervention

Welcome Note

Dear colleagues,

On behalf of UNITED RESEARCH FORUM, with great pleasure we invite you to the World Congress on Virology, Emerging Diseases & Vaccines to be held at The University of Manchester, UK on 15th - 16th July 2021.

The meeting will be hosted by UR Forum and will take place in Core Technology Facility (CTF) building, a 120-style theatre Dalton Room which is part of the Oxford Road Corridor in University.

The outstanding scientific program runs under the main theme “The role of innovation and discovery in crisis intervention" that provides a platform for covering the most recent discoveries and innovations in Clinical Virology, deliberation on the changing scenario of the viruses causing diseases and state-of-the-art updates on current areas of interest to virologists. Of course, each and every other topic in virology will also be covered via workshops and poster sessions, so we encourage you to support the conference by submitting abstracts of your work and research.

Our intention is to organize a meeting that will be of interest to broad range of virologists, in a manner that stimulates collaboration and discussion among scientists in all aspects of virology. To reflect this, we have installed a scientific advisory Committee with leading scientists from different areas. This conference will have a mixture of multi-disciplinary plenary, keynote and thematic sessions, for which we are currently receiving suggestions from a wide range of virologists.

The major attractions of the conference will be Keynote and plenary lectures by eminent speakers across the globe, academia-industry interactions aimed at entrepreneurship development; exhibitions to demonstrate latest technological development for virus research; and pre- and post-conference workshops on virus diagnostics, biotechnological applications for viral disease management and vaccine development.

We expect to be able to do this in front of an audience, for which we will give preferential access for young scientists, PhD students, post docs and budding scholars to present their results and ideas, we particularly welcome next generation´s researchers joining us and would like to encourage all senior virologists to promote their mentees attendance.

We look forward to receiving many interesting abstracts and to meet you at a lively at University, we also welcome companies active in the virus field to present and discuss their products with their peer groups

The organizing committee and I are looking forward to seeing you all in University of Manchester, UK!
